Aobayama Park, rich in historic and cultural resources and scenic beauty, is being developed to symbolize Sendai, City of Trees and Water. Aobayama Park is a large, historic & cultural park in Aoba-ku, Sendai, built around Aoba Mountain. It includes the ruins of Sendai Castle and has long been an important site both for nature and for history.
At its entrance is Sendai Ryokusaikan Visitor Center, designed to provide information on Sendai’s history and culture and foster a wide array of encounters and activities.
