On behalf of everyone involved in the conference, following the success of last year, I am delighted to welcome you to the second Device Technology for Diversified Applications (DTDA) conference. This four-day conference will be held at Sapporo Grand Hotel & Former Hokkaido Government Office Building “Red Brick Building”, Sapporo, Japan. from Sunday, October 11th to Wednesday, October 14th, 2026, fully sponsored by the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS).

DTDA focuses on application-driven cutting-edge technologies. To address diversified applications, DTDA technical sessions are organized by application areas, covering wide range of topics, including MEMS and semiconductor devices. All technologies are discussed for specific applications, which makes technology visible and emphasized for the applications.

A conference structured by application rather than discipline is a rare departure from tradition. We know that bridging the gap between different perspectives is no easy feat. Connect the dots. Unleashing Your Potential. Together, let us transform our shared aspirations into a path toward a brighter future.

This year, six key application areas are scheduled, including: Unleashing the Power of MEMS; Biosensors, Bioelectronics, and Biomedical Devices; Robots for a Smart Society; Mobility; Environmental Impact Mitigation, Energy Reduction, and Water Risk Management; and Smart Agriculture on the Ground and in Space. Additionally, short courses are scheduled for Sunday, October 11th.

Beyond the sessions, we offer demo sessions, interactive workshops, and networking events—all designed to spark new connections and ignite collaboration. DTDA is not just a conference; it is where technology meets application to shape the future. This is the beginning of a passionate journey, and we invite you to be a part of it.
